A gathering place for German artists and intellectuals, the Via del Corso apartment where Johann Wolfgang von Goethe lived between 1786 and 1788 is now a lovingly maintained museum. The permanent exhibition has been conceived in three languages (German, Italian and English) and explains Goethe's journey and his sojourn in Rome. The standing exhibitions are often dedicated to German-Italian subjects and the tradition of the journey to Italy.
