 Metrebus is a scheme, by which a standard ticket can be used across the full range of transport services:

  •  Buses
  •  Subway
  •  Suburban railways
  •  Regional railways
  • In this way one can freely choose how to reach the destination without having to worry about the ticket. There are no fee zones inside the city, and the same "metrebus" ticket is valid for reaching any part of Rome.

    The companies, that taking part to this scheme are:

     

      Tickets for both the bus system and Metro can be purchased from tabacchis, bars, or vending machines at metro stations and major bus stops. There are different types of tickets and passes:

    • BIT - €1.00 Standard ticket, valid for one Metro ride or 75 minutes on all buses.
    • BIG - € 4.00 Daily ticket, valid for unlimited metro, bus, and train travel within the Comune di Roma. This includes Ostia , but not Fiumicino airport or Tivoli .
    • BTI - €11.00 3-day tourist ticket, valid for everything listed under the B.I.G ticket.
    • CIS - €16.00 Weekly ticket, valid for everything listed under the B.I.G. ticket.
